The farm roads are perfect for family rides, or pick one of the many game trails and go wild.
You and your dogs are welcome to swim & enjoy the water, please dont swim if someone is
already there fishing.
Loch Heron
Also known as "the big dam", both fly and bass fishing are permitted at this picturesque dam.
it's also great for float tubes, kayaks and swimming, or just chilling on the dam wall.




Coots Close & The Mini Game Trail
Only accessible to high clearance vehicles or on foot. Cross over the dam wall of Loch Heron and really go off the beaten track.
From a secret little dam all the way up to the top of the world.




Explore the River
Enjoy the wild side or the tamer side or have a dip in a secret pool.
We are the catchment for our little valley, so enjoy being at the source.
Eventually all of our water ends up in the Olifants River.




Discover the secret waterfall
Not signposted and no marked trail its a secret, only for those willing to explore.
Follow the river, go over the bridge and turn right following the river into the trees.
Do not hike down the waterfall when the water levels are high. You take this hike at your own risk.

Birds at Highland Giants Estate
We have wonderful birdlife on our little farm, with some rare species being seen, including our own family of nesting Bald Ibis who can often be seen near the big dam and in the cattle kraal. Blue Cranes, are regular visitors and can often be heard calling or seen circling above.

Enjoy our free roaming Zebra & Blesbok who are very used to guests and often pass by the cottages.Keep an eye out for a variety of naturally occuring wildlife: Jackal, Warthog, Meerkat, Waterbuck, Aardvark,Brown Hyena, Mountain Reedbuck, Oribi, Serval, Caracal, Duiker, Baboon, Genet and more








Seasonal Flowers of Highland Giants Estate
Flowers can be found in the grasslands at almost any time of year, sometimes they are big and bold and others they are tiny and shy, often the highlands colour codes her flowers.
