Early Life and Education
Born in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, in February 1976, Ronald is one of four sons, with an older brother; a twin brother named John; and a younger brother.
The family moved to Pretoria, where he started school, and then relocated to Houghton, Johannesburg, when he was in Grade 2.
He attended KEPS for primary school and later KES for high school.
Career Beginnings and Interests
After matriculating in 1994, he served as a SAP Reservist for two years, showing a strong sense of community service.
Following that, he pursued a motor mechanic trade, becoming Toyota qualified. This expertise led him to a role at Wesbank, where he arranged repossessed vehicle auctions.
Meeting Rebecca and the Move to the Countryside
It was at Wesbank that he met Rebecca at a company function, sparking a new chapter in his life. Their shared interests and aspirations quickly brought them together, leading to a life-changing decision.
Passion for Aquatics and Inspiration for the Farm
He's always had a passion for keeping fish, an interest that significantly influenced their move to the countryside.
