Dog Friendly Accommodation
Well behaved dogs,
miniature to extra large, with own bedding & bowls
are very welcome with prior arrangement
Regret no Huskies*, unless by prior arrangement or as a repeat visitor
Strictly NO dogs allowed on the FURNITURE
Your dogs are permitted to walk with you off leash, however you
must always carry their leashes with you just in case.
It is very likely that you will come across wildlife,
including Zebra; cattle or horses.
THE IMPORTANT STUFF
Bring your dogs own bedding & food bowls.
Bring your dogs leash.
You are welcome to walk them off leash but keep it with you at all times just in case you come across resident animals (particularly when they have young, they tend to be a bit more skittish and dogs cant resist chasing when animals run) or other guests with dogs.
Please be considerate of other guests and do not walk directly near other occupied cottages, particularly with your dogs off leash when the other guests dogs are in the garden, there is more than enough place to access all areas of the farm with out walking right past someone else's cottage.
ALWAYS carry your dogs leashes with you when out on the estate.
Treat your dogs for ticks before your visit.
If they are due please, de-worm your dogs at least 2 weeks before your visit.
Strictly no dogs permitted on the furniture.
Should your pet be inclined to jump on furniture we request that you bring your own covers.
Should your pet sleep with you we request that you bring your own bedding and linen.
Additional cleaning charges will be levied should we have to clean furniture, curtains or linen of muddy dog prints, excessive dog hair, dog poop, dog urine, amoung other things.
If any items (i.e. curtains. duvet inners, cushions, etc) are damaged or stained due to the above, particularly poo and wee, and have to be replaced this will be for the guests account.
(it is very sad that we have to state this but have found it to be necessary)
Remember that your dog may get very dirty whilst racing around, it may be a good idea to bring an old towel to clean him / her off with.
Pets are not permitted unless arrangements have been made with management.
Under no circumstances do we allow pets on the furniture or beds, should your dog be inclined to jumping on or sleeping on furniture please can you bring your own bedding and covers to put on the furniture.
We rely on our guests to keep their pets off of the furniture in consideration of other guests,
should you find that this hasn't been the case during the previous guests stay please
bring it to our attention during the course of your stay so that we can attend to the matter.
Costs for furniture / bedding unnecessarily dirtied or damaged by pets will be charged.
We are a working farm (Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Horses, Zebra & Blesbok), there may be some of these animals near to or around your cottage
It is important to note that should any livestock be damaged or killed the guest will be liable for all costs incurred. Please let us know if you think it likely that your dogs will chase the animals.
PLEASE consider current & future guests when staying on our farm.
Highland Giants Estate takes no responsibility for any dog not belonging to the owners, please ensure that your dog is with you at all times, and that your dog has been

NB - You bring your dogs at your own risk, Highland Giants Estate (and anyone associated with HGE) are not responsible for any parasites or illnesses your dogs may pick up, any injuries they may get while on our farm. Our cottages are sprayed for flea's weekly and we trust our guests not to bring their dogs if they are ill, and to deworm their dogs 2 weeks prior to arrival.
